In Mousesteps Weekly #197, we talk about the following topics:
Elena of Avalor was inducted as a Disney princess at the Magic Kingdom, with Cinderella and Prince Charming greeting her.
Next, we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to check out progress on the upcoming PizzeRizzo restaurant. It will be a Muppets themed counter service location, owned and operated by Rizzo the Rat. There is concept art recently posted to the wall.
In the same theme, we have visited Blaze Pizza several times at Disney Springs! We were first there for a media preview (shown in this segment), where we tried a variety of items (Blaze offers pizza, salads, desserts, etc.) and then have been back since.
The Planet Hollywood Observatory is coming along nicely, now set to open in fall instead of summer. The restaurant just announced that Guy Fieri would design a portion of the menu - burgers and sandwiches.
Our next stop is Epcot to meet Mulan and Mushu. Being that it was World Photography Day, Disney had its own Photopass Day, including a few more rare characters. The characters were VERY popular, and we waited 2 1/2 hours to meet Mushu.
The LEGOLAND Beach Retreat was announced for mid-2017, with bungalows offering 2 separate guest quarters each. We take a look at a sample bungalow.
Our last stop is a double header of SeaWorld and Busch Gardens for National Roller Coaster Day. We take a look at Manta and Sheikra, two of thirteen coasters in the parks. And we visit Sesame Street characters Cookie Monster and Zoe at Busch Gardens.
