Virginia Gresham, Connecticut College, presents at the
#SustainU2015 Campus Sustainability Conference at Eastern Connecticut State University on April 28th, 2015.
Session Description: At Connecticut College we define “sustainability” as an approach to addressing long term issues in a manner that is economically viable, socially just, and environmentally benign. This presentation will be interactive, incorporating activities to help participants learn to map transportation habits on their campus. This mapping is an integral first step to determining which projects will have the most impact on campus. We will also investigate some of Connecticut College’s ongoing transportation reform initiatives, including our proposal to install electric vehicle charging stations on campus and our participation with an Office of Student Life Transportation Task Force Committee that will be unveiling the first official bus stop on the Southeast Area Transit line at Connecticut College.
